I haven’t been around.  I apologize and hope you understand.  Life has been happening – all around me.  Plus, I sort of put this blog off while trying to start another – www.greenlivinggirls.com. 

My baby girl started kindergarten.  Yep!  She gets up each morning, gets on the bus and goes off to school each day.  Her backpack strapped to her back, her lunch packed she leaves us and is in the care of the school and her teachers.  I didn’t think I’d be so emotional about her starting school, but it really has done a number on me.  How could my little one be ready for school? Ready to go out into the world by herself?  Ready to ride the bus?  Ready to face bullies?  Ready to learn all sorts of stuff I’m not ready for her to learn?  Ready to challenge herself? Ready to make new friends? Ready to be independent?  While I know she is ready and needs this – some days I’d just like everything to slow down and keep my little ones close to me, protected and hidden away.

As I write this, my sister is at the hospital giving birth to her second child – on her birthday.  I am so excited for them.  I cannot wait to hear if we have a new boy or girl in the family and to hold this little one.  I am jealous that they are experiencing birth right now and I’m just sitting here typing.  The miracle of bringing a child into the world.  The strength and feelings you experience using your body to grow a baby.  

Again, I’ve been struggling with the decision to bring another child into the world.  Do we have teh patience, love and time to devote to another?  Do we tempt fate and ask for another healthy, beautiful child?  For right now, I still do not know.  I’ve given myself time to wait and see how I feel in a couple months.  If the desire is still there, then we’ll see. 

Only time will tell.  I’ll just smother these two with all my love.
